GROW TOGETHER

How to Join a Group

These steps will help you find a Grow Group that is the very best fit for you.

1. Build a Network of Relationships

We work hard to help people connect with each other, but we also want your relationships at Gateway to be authentic and meaningful. Focus on building relationships in ways that feel natural to you. It's helpful to get in the habit of sticking around after worship services to meet people. Also, if a Gateway regular invited you to church, ask them to introduce you to some people they know. You might also invite someone you already have a relationship with to begin attending Gateway with you.

2. Attend Key Events

  • Friendship Lunches happen several times a year on Sunday afternoons. You will meet others who are new to Gateway as well as a few Grow Group leaders. This can be a valuable step towards connecting with future Grow Group members.
  • Discovery 101 is an introductory class for everyone who is new to Gateway. One of the important things covered in this class is the foundation upon which Grow Groups are built. Call the church office regarding the date of the next Discovery 101 class.
  • 3. Take A Step

One of the best places to make connections is at the Grow Group Kiosk in the lobby. At the Kiosk we can help you meet others who are in the process of forming new groups. You can also call us at the church office (835-2153) and we'll do everything we can to help you find a group that is a good fit for you.
